NEWS IFA 2017 KEYNOTES PROMINENT INTERNATIONAL DECISION MAKERS FROM THE FIELDS OF CONSUMER ELECTRONICS, HOME APPLIANCES AND RELATED INDUSTRIES SHARE THEIR PERSONAL VISIONS. Fitbit CEO, President & Co-Founder James Park gives his IFA keynote on SEPTEMBER 1 FROM 5-5.45PM ACCESS Exhibitors, Trade Visitors, Press and VIPs LOCATION Hall 26b In his keynote session The Next Level of Interaction: The Future of Health and Wellness is Wearable, Fitbit CEO and cofounder James Park will discuss the evolution of wearables, and the long-term potential for wearables to empower consumers to better understand their overall health and wellness. He will also highlight new developments from the company that can potentially help provide a deeper look at a range of specific health issues, including sleep apnea and atrial fibrillation. “Ten years ago, Fitbit pioneered the wearables category with the introduction of James Park CEO, President & Co-Founder, Fitbit FITBIT TAKES WEARABLES TO THE NEXT LEVEL Wearable technology has the potential to save lives its first tracker,” Park said ahead of his IFA keynote presentation. “Since then, Fitbit has pushed the boundaries of what’s possible for us to better understand our own health, introducing innovative and industry-leading features and experiences that have led to improved health outcomes – and have even saved lives.” Fitbit’s mission is to apply new technologies to help people get a better picture of their overall health and wellness by making data, once only available in a lab environment, easily accessible – for example to provide deeper insights into a user’s cardiovascular health and how physical activity improves it over time, or providing key information around sleep patterns and drawing the connection between sleep and overall health. “Because they are worn 24/7, connected devices offer a greater opportunity for caregivers to have access to important insights into health trends for the 364 days a year their patients are not in the doctor’s office,” Park said, adding: “More than 1,300 employers around the world have incorporated Fitbit devices into their wellness programmes, leading to healthier and more engaged employees and reduced costs for employers. And this is just the beginning.” THE CCCME CHINA BRAND SHOW Don’t miss the opening ceremony of the 2017 IFA China Brand Public Pavilion this morning (September 1) in Hall 7.2.
