THE DIARY OF MISS

THE DIARY OF MISS IFA Out and about at the 50 th IFA “Since 2001 Miss IFA supports the global awareness of the leading consumer electronics trade show IFA. Emerged as a virtual character, this young woman with bright red hair is since 2005 a real and globally known representative of the IFA with high recognition value.” Dirk Koslowski, IFA Senior Executive Manager. ‘‘ Hi! Miss IFA here with my third “Live Diary” in IFA International! This year, IFA International asked me to let them know where I had been and what I’d been up to, so here goes… Here I am with Klaus Wowereit, the Mayor of Berlin, and Frank Bolten, CEO of Sharp Electronics Europe, enjoying a 3D demonstration. It really is an amazing technology. It was not long before I was convinced that something was going to leap right out of the screen. I spent an entertaining few minutes chatting to Thomas Ellerbeck, Member of the Executive Board of Vodafone, Klaus Wowereit, the Mayor of Berlin, and Ernst Burgbacher, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology. Being Miss IFA is thirsty work. Enjoying the occasional cup of tea makes for a welcome break, especially when it is among company such as Ernst Burgbacher, Parliamentary State Secretary Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology, Dr. Rudolf Wieser, Member of the Executive Board of WMF, Klaus Wowereit, the Mayor of Berlin, Wolfgang Ritter, Managing Editor, BUNTE Entertainment verlag, and Friedrich Niemann, General Director, Waldorf Astoria. The amount of people passing through the exhibition areas is just amazing. It was not easy to get this photo taken – there always seemed to be a visitor getting between us and the camera. From the left we have Hans-Joachim Kamp, Member of the Supervisory Board of gfu, Guenther Sprol, Chef Marketing International, Liebherr-Hausgeräte, Alfred Martini, CEO Liebherr-Hausgeräte, Steffanie Steffen, Ernst Burgbacher, Parliamentary State Secretary Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology, Klaus Wowereit, the Mayor of Berlin and Dr. Rainer Hecker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of gfu. ‘‘ Edition 44
