From the 2nd to the 21st of September, the music festival will play host to 37 globally famous soloists, as well as 27 choirs, chamber ensembles and orchestras drawn from the international classical music elite. During the 20 days of the event, 24 events featuring over 60 works from 25 composers take place at various venues in the Philharmonie, the Parochial- Church, the Gethsemane- Church and concert hall at the Gendarmenmarkt. The festival’s focus and highlight this year is a celebration of the work of French composer and conductor, Pierre Boulez, whose 85th birthday provides a very good reason to celebrate his oeuvre. Other concerts feature the Italian composer Luciano Berio, Stravinsky, Bartók, Prokofjev, Ravel, amongst others. cv Clubs The Cascade Club — a Berlin hot spot In the west of Berlin, the dazzling Cascade lounge-club awaits guests who like to celebrate in style. Visitors to the club pass through an elegant, comfortable lounge offering delicious drinks, to reach the LED dance floor. The club opens its doors every Friday and Saturday when guests can party all night long. The club is also suited to all kinds of events including business parties, receptions, and product presentations for up to 500 people.
