We are proud of our heritage and success. We started with a single washing machine in 1955. Since then, we have continuously invested in pioneering new technologies. We have transformed the business over six decades of growth. As we align our strategy shaped by global trends, we remain focused on R&D, innovation, quality, design, brands, and our consumers to be a game changer. In total, we are represented by 10 brands in 130 countries worldwide. Beko is the leading brand in free standing market in Europe. Over the past 25 years, Beko, our leading global brand, has been operating very successfully in the UK, where we have maintained our longstanding role as market leaders. Beko also holds top position in Poland and is the leader in the French freestanding white goods market. Our goal is to build on this success and make Beko a top 3 brand in every market in which we operate. Grundig, our premium brand, has evolved successfully in recent years. Today, it is synonymous with cutting edge technologies that combine durable quality with refined design. Last year we achieved almost three-fold sales growth. Our ambition is to see Grundig account for one fifth of our global sales in the next five years. What are your “star” products at IFA this year? Grundig is showcasing quality innovations and new extended features while remaining true to its innovative product strategy where function follows design. Connectivity allows our products to work better for our customers. Grundig is driving innovation in the connected home, using technology to give us greater access and control over our appliances. We have champion products, which are best in class in energy saving, sound quality and noise levels. Some highlights from Grundig this year: The new cooling oven allows the user to cool and cook in the same oven – ideal for preparing a dish in the morning and keeping it cool (at ~5°C) until commencing the cooking process remotely on your way home. Connected home appliance platform Homewhiz enables consumers to remotely monitor and control home appliances outside their homes from smart devices, as well as providing high interoperability, leveraging industry standard security protocols and presenting high practicality. “Herb Garden” allows people to grow fresh, organic herbs at home and can be controlled by a custom mobile app. In the display section, we will launch our first OLED TV with ultra-slim design and absolute picture brilliance. The OLED 4K technology achieves unprecedented black levels. In the Beko range we will introduce new solutions for real peoples’ lives. The Beko dishwasher is the world’s first chemicalfree, odour removal dishwasher equipped with new IonGuard Technology, which facilitates a new level of cleaning and odour elimination. Also we have our innovative Beko AirTherapy washing machine system that includes both an air heater and fan that use warm air circulation to enable users to refresh a 1kg load in 30 minutes through the Refresh Program. The new Beko refrigerators with EverFresh+ 0°C compartment keeps meat, fish and dairy products fresh for up to three-times longer also preventing drying out, even when stored unwrapped. With Split & Cook ovens it is possible to cook two totally different meals, at different temperatures and durations levels of food. How important is IFA for you as an annual event and why? We want to demonstrate our design and manufacturing capabilities to retailers, visitors and international media at the trade fair. We are keen to help them understand that our smart design products are world class in energy and water efficiency.
